CREATE YOUR OWN "WHY-SCHOOL-MUSICAL"! Our musical-writing session enables students to take a subject, any subject at all, and create their own musical around it, working with someone with experience in writing musicals, and using some carefully prepared resources to enable them to complete a musical at speed.
In a highly practical day, pupils will:
- improvise and discuss characters and plot, faciliated by the tutor
- work out the structure of their musical
- choose the songs they are going to use (or use music prepared ahead of time by students)
- adapt or compose lyrics for the songs
- record their musical and publish it on our website for others in the school and their parents to hear
No experience is required, but this programme is best aimed at smaller groups of students with an enthusiasm for performing or creative writing.

Who is it for?
It's for all students 7-14, but we also do a special "stretching" version for students identified as gifted.

What's the relevance to the curriculum?
Drama and Music are of course the main areas that this project serves, also with some relevance to Literacy/English in terms of creative writing.

Where does it happen and when?
It happens in your school as a face-to-face session. We will need somewhere where noise can be made.
The important thing is that you set the schedule. You don't have to fit in with specific dates or struggle with clashes.
See the menu on the right for all the options.

How do I book?
Simply email tim@findthewhy.com or call 077 9960 8220 (leave a message if I'm teaching). I will find out all the information I need from you and we can organise a date that works.
See the menu on the right for all the options.
